i must be stoned, i posted this thinking it was under a different thread. just ignore me :hammer:

actually English is VERY hard to learn because we have slang and we like to take letters out of our words or rearrange them to look new and different but mean the same thing. Try talking to someone over the phone that doesnt understand english very well and you will see that the words that you rattle off out of your pie hole most of them they cant understand because it doesnt sound like the way the word is supposed to sound. Our language also changes depending on what part of the country you live in. How many people say Ketchup or catsup? Both mean the same damn thing but 2 completely different spellings and the sound differently. Try explaining that to a foreigner.



Im just saying that for those that think English is an easy language its not, we are just so exposed to it we pick it up easy. If all of our commercials and radio and tv were in Spanish or Japanese we would pick up on those as well over time. Dora the Explorer is a great kids show, it helps teach kids a bit of spanish and relates it to the english word.

OMG, spanish is one of the easiest languages to learn in comparison to japanese, chinese and English. I'm in my 6th year of it in school now and it's not easy, but I'm at an advanced level.

There is an American, a German, and a Mexican.



They are in all in a boat.



The boat is about to sink.



Each of them needs to throw somethin out to make the boat lighter.



The German throws out all of his beer and says, "We have a lot of beer in Germany, we don't need these too!"



The Mexican throws out all of his burritos and says, "We have a lot of burritos in Mexico, we don't need these too!"



The American grabs the Mexican and throws him out.



The German asks why he threw the Mexican out.



The American replies:

"We have a lot of Mexicans in America, we don't need that one too."

Why do Mexicans re-fry their beans?

An Englishman, Frenchman, Mexican, and Texan were flying across country on a small plane

when the pilot comes on the loud speaker and says

" We're having mechanical problems and the only way we can make it to the next airport is for 3 of you to open the door and jump, at least one of you can survive"

The four open the door and look out below. The Englishman takes a deep breath and hollers "God Save The Queen" and jumps.

The Frenchman gets really inspired and hollers "Viva La France" and he also jumps.

This really pumps up the Texan so he hollers "Remember the Alamo" and he grabs the Mexican and throws him out of the plane.
