i played and helped develop a college mud from i believe 1990 (i claim 1989 but i don't think it started 'till 1990) that last was known as "Barney Mud" (because what we found to be the center in about 1996 we realized was a barney shrine somebody made being a dumbass so that's where that came from blah blah)..



discovered MajorMUD in 1997.. which at the time i hated because of how simple and lacking in quests it was (and still is), plus how tiny the realm was (and still is), ended up with just majormud simply because i was starting a project that was taking up time, and i had MegaMud so i didn't have to play by hand anymore..



so... been playing majormud 4 years here (took out 2 years combined breaks from the fucking game), i'm not old school at all

I started playing Majormud when it was Beta.



I'm almost 40 now.

Just because MAJORMUD was released.. doesn't mean there were not plenty of other MUDS to play.... some of which were very close to majormud.... ;)
