Perhaps if you would've started out giving suggestions, like you finally did, instead of you going around saying "man this sucks, the layout sucks, everything looks thrown together.. " we could've answered some questions for you or changed some colors.
Now then, if you've read posts concerning the switch, you would have noted I'm working on putting the last thread of each forum on the main page.
I have no clue what you are referring to when you say "Smog Check".
We already know thread starter info is messed up. The only way to fix that is manually so I don't see it being done anytime soon.
Like I said, read announcements and offer suggestions and maybe even try things out before flatly saying how much something sucks.
There's a reason vB and Ikonboard are both very popular even though vB costs money and Ikonboard doesn't. That must mean there are some incentives to paying for vB.
As far as you admin Ikon?
I'll venture to guess you didn't read the ikon->vB thread posted about a month ago. In it I listed about 10 reasons why I want to move. I know how Ikon works, maybe better than you, maybe not. Some of the reasons were because of flat file dB. I finally was able to convert iB to mySQL so that did clear some of those issues, but dB structure was not the only reason I wanted to switch.
Lastly, everything you mentioned is either a cosmetic issue or a conversion issue. It has nothing to do with vB itself, so please give some legitimate argument as to why "the other forum software was much easier to understand than this POS software... Go back to iKonboard... it was WAY better... "
