The flow is rather annoying when I keep chasing down new posts that I've actually already read.

Ok this is pointless, I cannot keep up with what I've read through as the board keeps going back and marking forums and threads as having new posts even though I've already read AND marked them read more than once.

Damn you got me. I programmed that in on purpose to confuse you people
I'm not sure if you know how "unread" threads work, but if you reply to a thread it will show it as being unread for you until you actually view it again.
It may also be your isp that is serving cached info again.
That being said, I NEVER have a problem with threads just marking themselves read/unread at their leisure in any of the 3 vBulletin Boards I have run before.
I would expect software costing $160, and that has been out for years, to be able to get something as simple as whether you have read a post or not under control.
Oh yeah, then again, I went in and changed the code just for the hell of it...

It's not just showing MY replies as unread it is showing all the messages from the start of the session unread. Even with my local cache off. It's made reading the forums virtually unbearable.
