Re: WoW: TW Discussion [Archive] - ForumsHQ
I'm still playing on a legit server, though I've been toying with the idea of quitting. Is it for sure that we cannot run 2 copies of the game with differing versions? If so, I'll either cancel my sub or install the 1.8 version on my girl's machine.
I'm pretty sure you can, by having two seperate copies of the program in two different locations. Im not entirely sure on this but Im going to test it as soon as I get a chance.

Hi Mike.. I have heard lots about you. I am invis's girlfriend... I like to make things look pretty, like his banner... and I like to stand around looking pretty, both of which I do very well. Welcome aboard.

If anyone has any questions about WoW gameplay at any level place or anything please feel free to ask me. I have a well developed understanding of the game and have been playing for several months.

Its fairly easy to get used to. Especially if you ever have played any other MMORPGs. Even if you havent in a week or two youll be used to it. Each class plays differently and even further each class can be played many different ways. Everyone will have a question........
Even I have questions.......

I double click the wowlauncher and I get a short hourglass followed by nothing. Granted, I'm a paranoid stoner, but that dosen't make me feel to comfortable. :(
Re: WoW: TW Discussion [Archive] - ForumsHQ
So I grabbed the other launcher, the one linked by invis, and it works. I can connect, choose the US, suggest realm, select tradewinds, and then it starts waiting for the server. After about 10-15 seconds, it goes back to the ralm select screen. Rinse and repeat.
edit: I cruised around and found another 1.8.2 server to connect to, and was able to connect and get into the game, killed a few mobs.
So, once again, the hiccup occurs after selecting a server, it switched to the character screen and says "logging in to game server", and that's as far as I can get.

So I played on that other serverfor about 30 mins, then hopped over to another one (that had 50x exp and 100g/mob, roflmfao). Both were pretty bad lag wise, I'm talking full second and such. Also had some other small issues I won't point out, because hopefully they aren't on the TW server. :)
