I never said you did. I said I "assume" somebody may have. I never said anyone personally. And why would I destroy my own computer? With Boink getting hit the first thing I thought was they got me too.
Seph, what would cause that, the write protected?

Cant speak for everyone but maybe they did something and just saying someone else to get the blame away from them(not saying this is the case but). Ive played on damm near every board thats has been out there at one point or another. As with them I either got board or didnt like it anymore and left. I personally wouldnt waste my time trying to crash someone else's board.
Well if you would look around your own little personal bubble, Pike, you would realize that their are quite a few instances of this happening elsewhere... especially with those dos attacks.
The Sasser worm virii has been making itself widely known lately as well, and since I had the ports that the virus, when operating on its own, runs through blocked... the only way it can make it in is by a human hand on an undisclosed port.
I'm giving quite a bit of credit to Amber and Lodin with this situation... but that's because they are adults, and I KNOW that this happens quite frequently in the mudding realm. I've even seen it occur on diku muds and such in the past.

I hope all is well with purgatory. I miss it. I hope it can be brought back with
the changes deemed nessesary for balance and a good game, and without
reseting it.

Hi guys,
We are going to have to replace the computer...hopefully this week-end. More than likely this week-end! :-)
We have decided there will be no reset. However, if we cannot retrieve the data we may be forced to. Lodin is going to pull the hard drive and put it in the new computer he is building. We will let you know of the changes that are being made. NO classes are going to be messed with EXCEPT the Navigators. Anyone who is a navigator will get a race/class change. Nobody's banks are going to be messed with, nobody's experience... Spells are being looked at and the new items that were created so everything is balanced out.
Amber
DD...I will be back to yours shortly! :-)
Raiden...hows Boink coming?

He is working on trying to retrieve the data so we don't have to reset. Keep your fingers crossed because it's not looking good and I don't want a reset either, at all!!! :-)
