laugh dxpac, i'm not runnin a board with Galahad, i'm not running a board anytime soon, been there done that, i do however make edits for a couple of boards, and i need to have a way to test them out ;), now why don't you give me your dats ;)

thats what im talking about too.. we didnt mess with the dial up properties, just his NIC properties... set the main machine to 192.168.0.1 255.255.255.0, and second to obtain from dhcp... now he can be dialed in and networked to share files etc at the same time...
i just dont know why it would make a difference that the other lan machine was using a static ip.. cause it didnt work with static, only dhcp...
192.168.0.1 255.255.255.0!! uhh ohh! gateway address
192.168.1.1 255.255.255.0 is definately a gateway addy
i would rather set the main machine to 192.168.1.2
Kain, if you would post more (specifically) about your system and network it'd be easier to help resolve problems. You said "network", "network" could be alot of connected devices. Sorry, just feel like i havent been told anything. GL
