yeah why couldn't I? there's the option to add a new one, and I've used it. it's saved... it's apparently worked, even though the quest I use it on doesn't work properly. I'll have to mess with it a little bit and see what's going on.

It's apparently worked, but what uses it to work, doesn't work?

It worked, as in it recognized the new quest/ability, but I fucked up somewhere making the quest so the quest itself doesn't work properly. That would be a text block problem, not an ability problem. I need to try to fix it, since I read a post on here yesterday that might explain why it wasn't working right.

Update: I finally got that quest working, and the new ability was added to my character. I exited, and came back in a few hours later, and the ability stuck. This is using version M. So the official word now is that it DOES keep abilities. Whoever said it doesn't obviously didn't try very hard to make it work.

welp, until i get to do some testing, i'll propose a theory -- maybe what mud does is scans it's textblocks for what abilities they add. if the user has any abilities that the textblocks dont give then maybe it strips them. so maybe all you need to do is have a textblock give the ability and it will work (instead of just editing it onto the character). i'll do some testing when i get a chance.

possibly. I had a text block give it, and it stuck. So at least we know this way it works.
