whether it's currently edited or not is irrelevant. If you've edited in the past then that voided/violated your license. I'd just stop replying and let them play their games like Invisi said. Also, I do think they're jealous of the fact that we're more knowledgeable than they are in most cases. I'd be resentful too if I made a program and was too incompetent to give quality tech support for it :D

We do have superior technical support because our MUD's are edited for users BY USERS. So chances are one of us has run into a problem that you might find that we can answer. Simple fact.

it bothers me that there is so much flak given to edited boards. i play on lunar for one, and its a hell of a lot more entertaining then whatever the mudpolice think is a good game. i suppose im preaching to the choir here, but it needed to be said. The fact that someone is spying on our boards and all that is really disturbing, and i think they should spend their time making a better game instead of picking on us.

Widow knows what shes talking about, we make our muds not for priofit, but to make it fun for the users. And the users see this and realize they dont need to put up with the gestapo crap of metro from us. You dont really ever BUY worldgroup or Majormud you LEASE it.

I think everyone has the issue wrong here. Metro is not here to spy on us, or on our boards. If they could/wanted to do anything about it, they would have a LONG time ago.



Here's the deal. Metro made all releases after 1.11h private download. That means only registered sysops get to download it. A registered sysop of Majormud may or may not have posted in these forums that he had 1.11k and it was going to be ready for everyone.



If I were metro, regardless of how incompetant they are, I would be pissed too. They aren't here to shut his board down. They aren't here to shut anyones board down. They simply noticed that 1.11k was leaked, and wanted to find out how. It is a totally understandable reason to send said sysop an email. All they want to do is terminate his license. They *only* added the "edit" posts in to further justify their claim. They simply want the leak to go away.



Again, I repeat, Metro is not picking on us. They are not trying to shut anyone down. They are not trying to stop us. They are simply protecting their program by attempting to stop leaks. It is what any normal respectable company would do.

And i agree with you speed, there not after the forums or our systems, but they are going after the throats of the legit op's for posting here. If this is the guy im thinking it is i brought him here.

In my opinion you’re better off without Metro. However, I do understand your desire to remain Mainstream, as your player base is probably well established, and most of these people didn’t sign on to be a Hexed brd. Not to mention the thousands of dollars you have already coughed up to these incompetent gits.

As it would take little or no effort on Metro's part to just ignore you from now on, I don't see where you have much chance of arguing a case, even though there is no evidence to support any of the rumors that metro appears to take as fact. It is a matter of he who owns the code makes the rules and fair and just has nothing to do with it.



My condolences and sympathy, to you, and to a game that Metro will sooner or later murder, all in the name of being pissy little brats.

Stupid is as stupid does.....in other words.....Metro is as Metro does.

It was put to my attention that they would have to buy me out? Is there any fact in this? I personally dont see how it is true but according to some, they say since metro doesnt have legit proof other then a few written words, that if they wish to revoke my lic(shutting me down) then they would have to buy me out. Can anyone exsplain this further or have any idea if this is true?
