WG isn't 12 grand...you realize 12 grand is $12,000?
-----
Yes, I know what 12 grand is. Now do you wanna tell me what the price is for the enterprise version with max user count? Last I checked, it was 12 grand.
-----
I ran ME, I had no problems with it other than your basic Microshit stuff that you get on any Microsoft OS...
-----
And one incident without trouble means it's not that bad despite the fact pretty much every professional in the field pisses on it daily?
Oh, and you haven't tried Windows 2000. That's not a question, that's a statement.
-----
And MajorMUD well...think about it this way. Have you ever noticed that Legit BBS's don't have half the problems with MajorMUD that you or I have? Do you realize that by so much as making 1 change, we could be fucking something up that causes these things?
-----
Considering how much editting I've done before, and how many high level characters I've had on legit boards, I'd say I know that probably better than anyone here. Including you. But that doesn't negate the fact that MMUD comes riddled with bugs straight from Metro. They've been fumbled on one bug for almost a YEAR now, do you realize that? Why do you think 1.11j isn't out yet? And wanna name a mod from Metro that came without any major bugs? Oh yeah, there are NONE. Mod 8 was especially bad, it basically destroyed some games so they'd have to live forever with everything out of whack from mass duping, or reset.
How about the mod 9 bugs? Let's see... for starters, the evil quest didn't work right. Several quest monsters were bugged because they were never tested. Do you know MR doesn't reduce drain effects? Do you think the dark mage and lich were INTENDED to have necromantic storm that drains the ENTIRE ROOM for 400+? How about the dreadlord? Those warmongers are SUPPOSE to take an hour to regen. But he's damn near impossible because IT WAS NEVER TESTED, AND NEVER FIXED. Again, do you think it was intended for 13 people to go in and all die before they could even attack the dreadlord? How about the fallen angel door? Or the nexus spear? Or the gnaj creator? Lilliam Whitemane ring a bell?
I'm not even gonna get into mod 7 and 8.

I've seen legit BBS's (of course, only counting veteran ones, not the ones you see 20 different addy's from the same sysop within 6 months on Mudcentral) last just fine, without a problem, for years+...
-----
The legit board I play on has MUD crashes every few days. I know it's MUD because MUD is on a seperate server, and the rest of the board is fine. We have shit poofing constantly, too. You can say that's because of a delay in saving that can't be avoided, but you'd be wrong. Characters are saved when they die. Why can't the room be saved when they die? Poor programming, that's why. We also have bank balances decrease randomly. When I have no deed on me, and I've been scripting 400 rooms from town for a solid week, there's no reason my balance should be missing 3 runic. But it is. Sure, legit boards can stay up for years, but they still have problems. The only reason they do stay up is because somebody was dumb enough to throw thousands of dollars into it and they don't wanna abandon it.

I don't know though, this will probably spark a Novel from Atma and rantings from a few other people..

If you don't want a retort, don't post an argument.
