Make sure you take pics during the stages of redevelopment of your new bush whacker. The ingenuity of creating a beauty out of a beast should definately be photographed.

Bush trucks covered in mud, being pulled out by another or a winch are best photographed when stuck upto the windows... I love BC for all the untouched Wilderness, just waiting for a bunch of idiots in 4x4's to turn it into a mud hole :D :D

Where in Canada are you?

The chop down has begun:

The rust was alot worse than I first suspected, so the Box had to go, it was only being held on by 2 bolts anyways.

Rear cross member has to be reinforced.

Floor boards need s little TLC, or its gonna be ugly.

I have some sheets of 3mm thick galvanized siding that I'm going to use for the floor boards, and maybe to fill in the frame area with plywood covered with the siding. The new fenders were welded into place with a flame & a coat hanger. I didn't have anymore welding rods

Canadian HillBilly Improvising...Dude, i love it...This shit is entertaining.

You need to keep posting pics of this truck man. Show some shots of the fenders rig-welded on. That shit is greaaaat.

Why don't you get another bed to put on it though? They are pretty cheap at a yard.

That is Canadian Redneck, we dont have hillbillies here, that is US only :P

I'll post a couple of the fenders, but the welding rig, was just your basic oxy acetylene rig (with a cutting tip, instead of a welding tip).

For a bush rig, a box is a waste of time. I might put small sides on the deck, but it wont be very deep, just high enough to keep shit from sliding out. I'm also thinking about making a custom "Camper" attachment for it. no sense in going out into the back 90 without something to sleep in.
