Americans that I know, dog Canada. There is no hatred, it's dislike.





How many americans joke the hell out of Canadians?



Did I say hatred towards Canadians? No, I said joking. Read first, talk later.

I don't have hatred towards Canada. My entire family (cept me and Plat) are Canadian. I do find the jokin a little funny though, but so do they.

I really hate Canada.



The reason why they have such great social programs is because they spend absolutely no money on defense. They have the luxury of being the neighbor of the United States of America -- the safest place in the world (even post 9/11). Any nation that doesn't have to spend a large amount of their budget on defense can free up some money for medicare, education & crime prevention. BUT if a conflict ever emerged on the North American continent, the Canadians would be the first to beg for America's help. For too long, they've benefitted from their geographic location, and have taken advantage of America's economic and military muscle. The USA should close our border with Canada, tear up the NAFTA (North American Free Trade Agreement) treaty, and watch as Canada withers into nothingness.



Until we take action against Canada, they will continue to speak out against America's policies, including the war against Iraq. But every American knows that Canada would be broken down if it wasn't for the NAFTA agreement. The sole reason behind NAFTA was to let Canada and Mexico catch up with the United States economically. We should hit anti-American Canadians where it hurts the most -- in the pocketbook.

They don't spend too much money on defense because they don't piss anyone off, and they mind their own business.

What great social programs do they have? Why do so many Canadians come to the US for elective surgeries if their doctors are so great? The whole socialized medicine deal is ridiculous because you have doctors with no real incentive to be great doctors. Education? A Canadian told me once that you either worked at a good job (after college) or you were in a factory for 10+ hours a day. Whether that's true or not anymore, it doesn't sound all that great.



Anyone that disagrees with the US leadership isn't anti-American, let's keep away from ignorant statements and thoughts.

On a side not I just wanted to post this..



When in England at a fairly large conference, Colin Powell was asked by the Archbishop of Canterbury if our plans for Iraq were just an example of empire building by George Bush.



He answered by saying that, "Over the years, the United States has sent many of its fine young men and women into great peril to fight for freedom beyond our borders. The only amount of land we have ever asked for in return is enough to bury those that did not return."



It became very quiet in the room.
