All in all, this is a pointless disscusion as "we" as in you and I and Americans in general have only a backseat at this time and can only watch the horror as the war unfolds. It's blatantly obvious that people like you are the reason we're so hated around the world, not only by extremist Islam states, but by our closest of allies. We're always right, the rest of the world is always wrong. Heaven forbid the Russians, Germans, French, and Chinese disagree with us because they don't believe this is the most prudent course of action. Spare me the conspiracy theories on how they get all their oil from Iraq. Almost all of those countries get oil from Saudi Arabia, Venezuela and many other sources. Iraq doesn't have enough oil to be the sole supplier or even a major supplier to any of those countries, let alone for all of them.



The UN doesn't have any credibility because none of the permanent members of the Security Council know their ass from a hole in the ground. Permanent vetos, how democratic! We push "democracy" on every other country in the world, yet we can't seem to push it on the UN. When the collective countries in the UN decide to make it a "democratic" organization it will have credibility and it will do the tasks that it was intended to. That won't happen because France, Russia, China, Britain, and the US won't give up that kind of control. When these countries start caring about making the world a better place, it will all fall into place. This power struggle bullshit and bashing of countries for having the backbone to stand up for what they don't believe is right, is preposterous and makes all 5 of the permanent members look like exactly what they are, a joke!

I have many ideas on how to further my views. It starts with fixing America. We shouldn't shove our ideology which is based on religious beliefs, that more than half of the world doesn't follow, down their throats.



When you have to resort to violence, you've failed in your objectives. I don't believe violence is the solution to solving the world's problems. This situation should've been handled very differently. We should've continued our operations to overthrow him from inside Iraq, which we've been doing since 1991. We should've parked UN troops in Iraq and placed Saddam under arrest for crimes on humanity. He would've then gone in front of the WCC and reserved a place next to Milosevic. Where he deserves to be. If we kill him, we only further his cause. Next, we would've proceeded to liquidate all of the WMD's inside of Iraq. That was the original goal of this. If they decided to disallow inspectors into sites, the inspectors call in troops and they forcefully storm the complex.



Popularity isn't important. However, being unpopular usually makes you the target of crimes, atrocities, and negative attention. If we continue to plow through international law and the UN, we're only dooming more of our citizens to acts of terrorism. The concept of "appearing strong" is one of the main principles of our government. That only works with people that can be intimidated, it does nothing against people like Saddam.



Change has been violent in the past, but not always. I worry for the safety of American citizens, which seems to be an overlooked aspect of all these discussions.

Religious beliefs, please, this county is based on the bottom line. In God we trust, all others pay cash! If what you state is true then the condemnation of this action by the Pope would have carried alot more weight than it did.



You destroy your own argument by stating that you would use violence to further your "peace". Do you think those "parked" UN troops wouldnt have to contend with Saddam's military? Thats naive at best.

There will always be those who seek to gain notice simply by killing a member or members of the most powerful nation on earth. Skuling and tring to get along with everyone wont gain anything but contempt and actually show weakness to those who would use such weakness to their advantage.



Isolationism is not the answer, fixing our own problems are nesscessary as well, but are no easier to fix than anything we encounter with foreign policy. If anything, there is so much infighting in our own country that foreign policy and reaction are tame compared to the opposition and resistance we would encounter from our own populace on any significant changes.

For those that don't know, us, the United States, have developed a bomb whos name slips my mind, that is less powerful than a nuke, but not by much, and it will be used.



If I'm wrong, tell me why we're producing them RIGHT NOW.



Anyway..Dark..you don't make any sense, so your best bet is to just shut up for now. I support bombing Iraq, I don't support sending troops in. Hell last week we had killed more of our men than the Iraqi's did. That makes us look real good.



All in all..I could care less about this war. I'm not going to fight no matter what, so shrug. I feel sorry for those who have loved ones in Iraq. It's got to be hard praying everyday that you don't get a phone call saying a loved one has died in war.

P.S. My sister wouldn't marry him if I did, I would disagree with Saddam face to face on anything because I'm obviously outspoken, I don't hold back my thoughts, and as far as him comming over for dinner...hell he's invited. If he can make it into our country and down my street, he's earned it.
