Maybe....If Sadam would quit telling them we were trying to occupy their country and once he was gone, they would be even more oppressed than they are now (not that he actually said they were oppressed now)

First of all, I don't know why anyone would choose to stand in the way of President Bush and our valued friends & trusted allies in the coalition as they fight through much adversity to bring democracy & freedom to the oppressed people of Iraq.
Secondly, after 18, yes 18 failed U.N. resolutions, the President, Prime Minister Tony Blair, our friends in Poland & Australia decided to mobilize forces to disarm Saddam's hateful regime. The coalition took action because of the U.N.'s inept handling of the situation.
Obstructionist nations, such as France, Russia & Germany prevented the United States & Great Britain from ending this issue diplomatically and peacefully. Not to mention, they all seem to have economic ties to Saddam & his criminal goverment. The evidence of this is perfectly clear. The French & Russians are opposed to this war because of their shady dealings with Saddam Hussein over his "food for oil" program. This speaks volumes on why the French & Russians truly oppose the war.
The next time someone mentions oil in this debate, be sure to ask yourself, "which nations REALLY want the oil?"

Yes, it's our job to impose our imperfect government ideology on other countries so they too can have horribly corrupt government officials instead of tyrants. That's the solution!

The United States of America is 230 years old, making us one of the youngest nations in the western world. Far younger than our European counterparts. YET we were able to fight and gain our own independence, bring equality to all people, land man on the moon, and systematically pick apart communism during the cold war era. That consequently brought democracy & stability to the Eastern Europeans. As if this wasn't enough, we also labored to become the world's ONE-AND-ONLY superpower. And the astonishing thing is, we accomplished all this in just 200 short years.
If you consider this "imperfection," may other nations around the world thrive to be as "imperfect" as us.

You throw the word democracy around like it's an accurate representation of what we are. Any uneducated moron knows that we're not a democracy, we're a republic. We're not anything close to what our forefathers envisioned. We're far from a nation of equality. We have made strides towards it, but we're far from it. The main problem is that we think we're right about everything and that alone will be the reason the way we know our country will cease to exist. Every major empire in the history of the world has fallen for roughly the same reason. Arrogance, ignorance, and stupidity. We're well on that path.
