I've seen that option, not sure if it was with one of the emulators i tried to minipulate or not. Isnt that option on the server end. That would be cool to export from other servers though.

My thought exactly, that way we could keep our favorite characters from one server to the next without having to start over.

While waiting for Tradewinds to stabilize, I decided to try my hand at learning how to setup a server and maintain it.

(That and keep my boys from bothering me... "Is the server up yet?" Every 5 mins...)

I built a Mara's Repack Server and have been playin' for a couple weeks now.

The boys want to keep their characters, and move 'em to Tradewinds once it comes back up again. Well me too.

I miss playin' with everyone!!!!!!!!

I would like to try it if anyone is interested.

(You use the "WoW GM Tool" to do it while the Game Server is Running.)

I have more RAM on the way to help with my virtual memory issue after playng for 4-8 hours straight.

The accounts can be moved from server to server, everytime I try a new repack i mve the accounts from one to another. Depending on the accounts i ****MIGHT**** be able to import them, I got Tradewinds running earlier today on the new server with a faster connection and better PC. I'll post when i go live.

Servers live. I can connect thru the address again, if you get stuck at Validating just close and reopen WoW, it seemed to work for me.

I just wanted to extend my thanks once again to Invisigod for working his ass off making this server go. Its alot of work and it keeps giving him headache after headache plus he threw a woman into the mix which never helps :hehe:.

The board seems very stable now and the world save issue is under control. My dwarven fighter is level 19 and probably will be 20 tonight so I get to start testing the higher monster level areas.

Fantastic work and thanks again. :yeah:

Agreed, I'm having a lot of fun with this (but my night elf druid is only 15, so I'm not quite as good as you Zan)

My undead warrior is only level 11 and he's my highest level character I have aside the GM accounts I use to test instances. Which people will LOVE the higher level drop rates ;) Server is running nicely on a Sempron64 3000+ with a cool 1gig of RAM. It would seem the HT options on the previous server were causing some issues which arent apparent on the Sempron box.

Ok, couple of things to mention. As stated, I have a druid. I am still using the 1.8 patch, because previously, I had issues with the 1.9+ patches. I am wondering if I should upgrade past 1.8

First off, every time I go to log in, the first time, I am paralyzed. I have to close wow and relog, before I can move.

Secondly, on more than one occasion (seems to br right after the world save) I will be moving along nicely, then when I try to cast a spell, the spell box on the toolbar will highlight, and stay lit. The spell never goes off, and if I try to do anything else, it tells me another action is in progress. I can't even leave the game or logoff. I have to ctrl/alt/del and close wow with the task manager.

If I Do this, I cannot reconnect to the server. Not sure what the deal is, but I usually come back in dead, and it's getting annoying.

Thirdly, my druid just got his aquatic form. If I try to use it while on land (stupid, I know) it tells me I MUST use it while swimming. If I use it in the water, it tells me I CANNOT use it while swimming. so, in effect, it's useless.

Any thoughts, comments, etc are gratefully accepted.

quick update. Just did it to me again. I logged on, I'm paralyzed. I close wow and relog, and this time, it never enters the realm. The realm load bar goes to 100%, music stops, and thats all.

I closed wow with the task manager, and then for the next 5 minutes, when I try to log in, It tells me I already AM logged in.

I finally get in, and about 20 seconds later, I get disconnected from the realm, and I can't get in at all now. Keeps telling me it can't connect to the server.

I do believe it is currently down which is why your having issues. As per the windows being open and such check your lag-o-meter in the corner. I always have problems with my warrior if its a high yellow or red so i tend to not play since its annoying and frustrating.
