Opinions are like asshºles, and here is my opinion.
I have read all the posts in here, and it is pathetic to see that rasism is still very strong.
Those of you that are homophobic, your bloody pathetic, it just goes to show that you are not terribly secure with your sexuallity, and that you have to find comfort in bashing someone because of his/her perference.
If it doesn't affect you directly, why bitch and complain, gay marriages were fully supported here in Canada by Jean Cretian, plus a number of the employees in the company I work for are gay, and damnit they are all very nice people, (well except one) but hey there are asshºles in every community.
Also who gives a fu*k about what a book that was written over 2000 years ago, and that was baddly translated into the english language.
I am very secure with my sexuality, and I can walk into any church or Government office and get married damn near anytime I please, without some asshºle Government official saying I can't or laughing at me because of my sex, and my partner's sex.
Now with all this bullshìt, what about afro-Americans, or the Chinese, or how about Women it wasn't too long ago when they had a hell of a time doing anything in the Good old USA. Hell in the US it really wasn't until the 70's that Afro American's were looked upon as being an American and from personal experiences some of the smaller towns in the US, Rasism runs as deep as in-breeding. And Women really didn't have much in the way of rights until the late 50's early 60's.
So in closing get off this fu*king bandwagon before someone burns it from under you.

I'm also going to give them super-human, undefeatable ice hockey players who will be admired and feared by all who come across them."

Homosexuals are the reason the AIDS virus soared to an epidemic. In 1981, the Soviet Union warned the United States of a new virus they encountered and told us to monitor this new GRIDS virus closely. BUT they shouldn't EXPECT everyone to ACCEPT their lifestyle. No matter how hard you try, you can't make everyone like or accept the lifestyle you choose to live. And marriage is a HETEROSEXUAL institution. If they want to have civil unions, fine, but don't expect to partake in sacred institutions that were never meant for homosexuals. And segregation is never the answer to any problem. The Berlin wall didn't work. The great wall of China didn't work. The Israeli/Palestinian wall is not going to work. If gays want to be accepted, they should assimilate with other children in the public school system instead of building walls which isolates them even more from the mainstream society.

what does thay gay school have anything to do with allowing them to marry? i know someone mentioned it earlier but i'm not going to re-read every post in this thread to see exactly what was said. i dont remember everyone expressing their opinion on that subject. i personally don't think the gay-only school is a good idea either, but i do think they should be able to marry -- two totaly different issues.
my questions is when you say, "BUT they shouldn't EXPECT everyone to ACCEPT their lifestyle." ... what will gays being able to marry have ANY effect on you. why will them being able to marry force you to accept their lifestyle. i agree that they shouldn't expect everyone to accept they immediately, but over time people will. there are already gay shows and gay people popping up all over TV, almost a trend. it's only a matter of time before they're socially accepted as a whole.
