Grin..nod. What time was the board taken down, anyway? Ahh well. Whenever my sister gets back here, I can leave..she's closing on her old house now though, should be done in an hour or so. Then I can make the 35ish minute trip home to set up the server.

You always sit in the halls, so you don't care. For people who actually SCRIPT, that lag was deadly. Shit would get like at least 3 free rounds before you could even attack.

Sigh..seems I need to call them dumb whores at RoadRunner again.
It's no wonder Road Runner blows this bad, it's run by Time Warner who is owned by AOL. AOL running a POS service (no matter the type) isn't surprising the least bit.

Roadrunner seems to work fine here in NY, then again it's here in NY.
And what's up with the timewarner aol thing?(i know it's a mega-conglomerate) But I thought the US goverment put an end to monopolies, if you ask me AOL/Time-Warner owns virtually everything, composed of uncountable subsiduaries, I don't see how such a huge company could provide such a horrible service, let alone give two fucks about a server running 30 people.....Don't expect much from RR, your getting what you pay for, as for we are all corporate whores, feeding into the machine...making them grow...
GRRRRR DAMN YOU AOL!!! YOU HAVE FOILED MY PLANS FOR THE LAST TIME!!!!!.

having a board up that's lagging so bad that it's unplayable is also a way to lose users :P
I didn't get home til 10 last night and the fact that people were relogging from connections timing out doesn't help the server either.
I've had roadrunner for almost 7 years. The first 2 years were awesome, it slowly started going downhill after that due to the caps they initiated on each account. They did that to make it more stable, but what they need to do is stop putting 500-1000 people per node since that makes the bandwidth disappear due to it being a shared connection.

What you people don't realize is - it's tornado/hurricane season, and I live in the worst spot for it. Every hurricane that has come into the U.S. so far this year has come through where I live. It's just something everyone, including myself, is gonna have to deal with. Claudette (sp) is in the gulf now, and though it's proposed to head towards Mexico, I'm willing to bet it turns north.
