i tweaked my ram timings based on an anandtech article involving amd64 socket 939..

Tras at 10 gave the best performance...so.. i'm now running @ 2-3-3-10 1T

in Doom 3 HQ 1024x768 (Native Linux Binaries):

2148 frames rendered in 26.7 seconds = 80.4 fps

Nice timings, and it stays stable eh? Did you have to overvolt it at all?

another good place erek is http://www.hardocp.com i been reading their website everyday for about 6 years now and have found them very helpful.

my ram is rated @ 2.5-3-3-8 1T..

so 2-3-3-10 1T.. i'm increasing Tras.. and lowering CAS (most 2.5 rated ram hits CAS 2.0 anyhow...)...

i don't see why i would want to overvolt my ram whenever it's 100% stable already.. there's almost no performance difference between 2-3-3-10 1T and 2-2-2-10 1T only Cas to Ras would give like .5% performance difference if i set it to 2.. which isn't even 1 FPS in Doom 3...
