Is their an ETA of a possible date in the future here when you may forsee it going online?
These ideas you have presented are making me eager to see the final product ;)

Final Product Date: 8/25/10
:)
just kidding, I want to make sure everything's perfect in the code before I give a final release date, as of right now, the status is:
"IN CODING PROGRESS" ETA 8/25/10

Re: someone tell me...
What language are you writting it in? If its c++, you all are welcome to use my code that I have been working on for the last year off and on. It's got a fully functional string class (derived from std::string), as well as working socket code, mysql interface, garabage collection to keep track of memory. Character generation, room code, and exit code are all completed. I make heavy use on vector's, map's, and lists to make the interface as clean as possible, since Built in Scripting is planned (and partially implemented). The scripting language of choice would be Python, however, Ruby is also supported. MD5 Encryption can be easily added, but as of right now, I disabled it for debuging purposes. The code also has 'hot reboots'. Aka you can reboot the server without kicking the linked players off.
The reason I'm offering it is because I spent a year writing, tearing out, rewriting. And thats only the base skeleton, I dont have nearly as much done as you all as in fleshing out storylines, plans, etc. If it would save you all some work, your more then welcome to use it. I dont have it posted on my site, so drop me an aim: DREIMAS.
Imho I would try to development using a free compiler, such as gcc. Granted .Net is nice, but you do have to pay for the license to use it. (Or maybe I'm wrong, I M$ released there compiler without and ide, but I'm not sure.)

dud...
yeah I know, but it takes pressure off the dev staff. I mean, if I said 1 year, and if at the end of that year, there were bugs, ppl would freak if it wasn't out.
