that's irrelevant. i know a lot of information about you, do i tell it without notice. personal things that you didn't ask me not to tell anyone...

somethings are common sense. You don't tell personal, financial or business information.

You openly support & distribute warez. You, thus, openly cheat software vendors. This is no different from cheating Google.

Stop over reacting.

i'm not overreacting... and you're right, you're not a sysop of legion per say... but that's only because you said you would never logon. after all, the board is located at telnet://raygon.net it's the perfect fusation of raybdbomb and aragon and you know it ;)

and by the way, i'll have you know that there is a huge difference between cheating software vendors who OVERPRICE software, and cheating a corporation that serves ads...

HUGE

hey... i know that admiral acid and aragon purchased a doormud license from evan for mmb or morbid, but it was never used.

i also know that nobody from MMB has run a doormud game in quite awhile.

i ALSO know that i can get at least 4 players on this doormud game.

SO with those knowledges of mine, i would formerly like to resume ownership of this license. aragon is a sysop on legion bbs, so it would be continuing under his ownership, but seeing as he does not have a bbs, nor ever will, it only makes sense to pass it onto a bbs he does not own but has sysop rights to.

aragon? evan? admiral? thoughts?

If Aragon and Admiral Acid wish to transfer their DoorMUD license + Pro Add-on to you, they can do so (if they want to!) as long as

1. All parties notify me

2. The license is only being used on 1 server at a time

3. Transfers should be considered permanent. So they can't "lend" it to you for a little while and then demand it back at a future date -- that'd make the licensing/legal issues be a nightmare for me, so that's no good.

I don't charge silly transfer fees like WorldGroupWare and Metro do, so no worries about that :)

Keep in mind, WorldGroup 3.xx's outbound rlogin still has that stupid bug where you can't rlogin to localhost. So Ray, you'd need a second computer to put Synchronet (or GameSrv, WildCat, whatever door bbs software you choose) + DoorMUD on.

Another option would be for the Morbid sysops to put Synchronet + DoorMUD on the same computer as Morbid, and then grant rlogin access to Legion's ip. Morbid users wouldn't be able to play (b/c of the WG rlogin bug), but Legion users would. Ray, that would allow your users to play DoorMUD w/o the Morbid ops having to do a license transfer. So this might be a good solution.

Only potential problems w/ that latter solution are:

1. DoorMUD players on Legion might experience a little lag, since the game would actually be residing at Morbid

2. Morbid ops would probably want to ensure that Synchronet + DoorMUD aren't eating up too much CPU time. (as far as I know, they shouldn't; Sync yields idle timeslices gratiously, and DoorMUD now does too as of v0.99)

Then I'd say see if they'll do the 2nd option of running it on the same comp as Morbid... that way, they don't have to part with it but Legion users can still play it. But yeah I guess it depends on CPU usage and bandwidth, altho I don't think either would be a problem.

if you can port doormud to a stand alone server that can run on *nix systems, I might run one ;)
