Karnage - Miles didn't post his IP in response to DeathCow's bbs ad, that's his signature. Frankly, being new to MMB, I wouldn't recommend you start calling people dicks so early on - you've already irritated me, but I'm an asshole..

It could be possible that Miles was trying to be rude or sarcastic. But Miles and I have always had a careing and friendly( :hump: j/k) relationship so I would hope not.

Well I've after reading a few of the posts here. I've noticed some people arent so keen on thanksgiving. I've finished all of the edits that I feel need to be done prior to opening the bbs. The only requirement I have before I can open the bbs is that the website should be up at least a day before the bbs is. If Bloodshot cant get around to it I'll try to get the basics done on the site. Unless people would be truely appauled if all I did was have some organized lists in black and white Would a website with just classes/races and basic information reguarding edits be enough to open the bbs? Or would you need more information than that for character creation?

I think for starters basic race/class info would be ok, but when folks get high enough to use any new items / armour / etc they'd complain if there weren't stats posted somewhere. I'm sure, tho, you could get away with bare-bones info for the first couple of days. I agree that Thanksgiving might not be the best time to open up, because quite a few folks (myself included) probably plan to be out of town that weekend. Maybe start up Saturday (29th) or Sunday (30th) night would be my suggestion.

And no *I* don't think my BBS is the best(some do), but I think my website is. (or WILL be when the forums get working) - BUT - I don't even make the website, so how do *I* come off as dick? Show me a better website , and I'll change my tagline.

Miles...I really dont want to get into this shit, but I feel I need to say this. There have been times, when people have complained about things (i.e. regen) and you flip out. The things you tend to say are, this is the best editted bbs around...and its free...blah blah blah. I remember an account with WonkeyBeard who was complaining about regen being dead in which you did this. The only reason I remember, is that I felt like I almost didnt want to play there anymore. FYI I personally do think your website is the best around. I really dont think you can put a pin point on "the best editted bbs" though. Infact I had a forum like that once :) anyways...

lol Miles i figured u were being a dick and just posting your ip/website because i didnt know what a forum was...i do get along with you ok and about your bbs i havent been really high leveled. I think its just because i cant stand battlemage and dont want to reroll...anyways i feel rather dumb blowing up when i didnt know but shrug it happens lol anyways as for deathcow i also would believe with whoever said that maybe thanksgiving isnt the best date most likely because it would start slow with just the few who arent going outta town. I myself either wont be home or will be out of town, but i cant wait for the bbs to get up so maybe before thanksgiving haha :P anyways send some word on this here post if the website gets setup...

Try running a 50+ User system, Working 40+ Hours, and coming home to hear people bitch about something as miniscule as 10 minutes of no monsters, When the entire damn thing is free? I've put hundreds of hours into this system, and for people to talk shit about it for something so stupid, Really pisses me off :)



Especially when Im Busy, and not at the keys... Because everyone on my System KNOWS that if I have the time, I Do anything, and everything, to fix, modify and make things better for it.





I really dont think you can put a pin point on "the best editted bbs" though.
