If i edit in new items in a different directory. When i copy the wccupda2.dat over will it create the items in my wg directory? or do i have to copy the items.dat over also? and what about new messages?



it will create the new items. the only thing the update file wont ADD is any inserted textblocks. your board will crash if you dont copy the textblock file in for textblock insterts (changes are ok). the only other thing the update file doesn't update is any user interactable fields (like items in room and such).



also, for the items, do i have to give the amulet an amount of uses under the general section? and a recharge under abilities? I have it linked to the textblock already but when i try to use it it says there are no more uses in



unless the item is limited on uses it doesn't need uses or a recharge. and you need to create a spell that casts the textblock. you put the spell on the item for when it's used.
