I have Roadstar and 40% discount I now pay total about $600 p/year. I've had my licence for 20 years and I have had 1 accident(not my fault) and 2 speeding tickets, 1 was excessive speed I was doin 110 in a 70 zone, 2 points and $140 fine.

BUT a friend of mine has had 6 accidents all his fault, and IF he were to get insurrance his payments would be something arround $12,000 p/year. So his wife gets the insurance in her name.

I am legally obligated to have insurance on my car. I cannot prove that it is not being moved at this current time. I signed a paper saying that I will have full coverage on this car until I pay it off, that's what happens when you purchase a new car. I've already discussed this with them.

Plus, fuck taking the bus. Could *you* stop driving, and take the bus, after years of driving? Nah, no way. I'd rather pay the insurance.

i'd rather pay insurance too.. i have never gotten on a city bus - and i never will. ew

We dont have private insurance up here (yet) in BC, we all have to go thru those assholes at ICBC, and IF you have an accident, 99% of the time it's going to be your fault. It's just fucking bullshit.

Yeah. You have to pay different amounts for different cars. Sports cars pay more, muscle cars pay more, mini vans pay less. They go by statistics, and statistically speaking, muscle cars get into more accidents because the driver is usually attempting to show off his car.

You have to pay more if you are a guy, if you are single, if you're under 25...
