wireless is too slow



What Planet are you from? Oh right, your the person that can't read, or is too ignorant to realize that a dedicated firewall isn't a router.

wireless is slower than wired, that's for sure, but they have 54 MBit ones now, whereas a good wired one is 100 MBit, or if you spend 10x as much, 1000 MBit. anyway, mine is an 11 MBit and I don't do much intranet transfer, so I limited transfer to 2 MBit (speed of my line) so less radiation goin through my brain...



runs just as fast as wired for internet, and this is about 50 feet and 3 walls between the computer and the WAP

I have a linksys 10/100 NIC & HUB, I never get anything more than 10 Mbit outta it, my smc wireless PCCard is bloody fast. Check this out :)

my SMC says that it's 100 mbit, but so far I aint seen the speed, as it's only been just keeping up to my home system and my hub. Which for what ever bloody reason, my hub wont switch into 100 mbit.

ray, FTP operates on port 20 and 21.

port 20 is used for the transmission of data

port 21 is used for the actual application

although i heard that, port 20 was upload and 21 was download or vice-versa :hmm
