If you want people to play, bribing them with sys commands isn't the way to do it. Hell if I have to invite people just to get sys commands, I'll be more than happy to play somewhere else. There are a ton of boards out there that offer sys commands just for logging in.





3. Portal: when the portal will be complete it will take u almost everywhere u need to get in game. quest areas, scripting areas, new areas and more.



3. OPS: right now there are 3 sysops, me(scorpion), anubis and XTC. There are no game ops at this time, but once the board will have 30+ people a few people will be picked by the players and a poll will be used to pick one of them as the mudop

The Portal is nice for the Quests, but to go anywhere in the game, why not just remove the sys goto's all together. And make the portal token's good for a return trip.



Make your board different from other boards and you wont have to bribe anyone to play. As you have it currently setup, it's too much like a PAY TO PLAY instead of money, you want more people to play. But your going about it all wrong. I know a few people already that have been on your board and dont plan on going back anytime soon.

he's talking about the first neutral quest and you do talk to the grey lord. but there is a bug in metros dats that make it so you dont have to actually be level 10 to do it.

pantharen, this isn't a thread about changing the game of mud as a whole. you've voiced your opinions once and thats enough. he's advertising his own board here and he can do whatever he wants. if people dont like his rules they'll tell him on his BBS and he'll change them or they'll leave. let people make their own decisions for their own boards and see what happens.

Comment on the two present mudops, both, imho, are very nice and fair. Atleast that is what I have seen.



Still am concerned on the sys commands. I am not the type to go around asking people to join a board so I can get sys commands. Sorry, am used to having them automatically, that way ALL are at the same advantage.



The comment about checking logs to see if a player used these commands during a battle is useless to me if I have already been rerolled due to being killed over and over.



And for the person that says comments should not be made here, where then? If, because of the ad, players aren't joining, then you make your comments here.



It is a new board with a sysop that is willing to atleast listen and comment and maybe make changes. Time will tell. :)

Unless you are a complete loser you must have 1 or 2 friends that you mud with so why not invite them to play there if u plan on and get sys gotos as a reward:) thats how i look at it atleast. As for being rerolled part and checking log how is somebody having sys goto gonna get u rerolled? ur not very smart are u... dont post ur dumb shit on my thread and as for those ppl who checked it out and dont plan on going back i dont care they can play whereever they like

C-h-i-l-l. You can't be a sysop without taking constructive criticism the proper way. Insulting potential players, and the friend(s) of potential players, is not a good way of getting players.

Every room in the temple is safe. The halls, the healer, each hallway room, the cleric train room, the priest train room, the priest spell shop, the entrance foyeur, and the bishop room are all safe. You can't be killed more than once.



The point is correct, tho, it's not a fair thing to do to give some players gotos and not others, but that is the perogative of the sysop. He can make his own mistakes, but he should learn to accept constructive criticism, since he's running a board and every sysop knows that you can't please everyone. The best sysops can hardly please half.
