Scorpion, with Lunar, Sinister, morbid, and all the other boards that have excellent posts, seeing a lame post makes me "the user" go uh huh, I'll pass this one by, it is probably really lame.



Hell even StressTest is an awsome post and it looks like it's gonna be a pay board. Hell if it is just from his post, I might even pay to play. So EDIT your post, be more informative, tell what you have done in the way of edits, what is it running on, whats your bandwidth etc etc etc. or just cut & paste the template.



Cause as your post stands from "the users" perspective is just another cheap board to pass on by, and it will slowly whither and die.

ok here is a detailed information





4 new races

vampire

leprechaun

minotaur

shadow-elf

5 new classes

added qusest cloaks, weapons for new classes and made sure they can do all the aligment quests and stuff like meditate/smash and stealth quests



all limited items except for quest weapons are 3x what they ussualy are



all the bosses are on 1hr rgen



all the exp tables are at 33% so you lvl 3x as fast



there is new area directly west of town square which is not yet done, but it has a portal (you can ask ppl who are on the board on directions to it) that portal takes u to every quest area u need to get to so doing quests is much easier



pvp is set at 5 lvls



i am in the process of making many more new edits but it will be some time before that will be done

well thats better. BUT, what version of mud are you running? how many chars can i log on at a time? globals? is the board laggy due to a crappy cable connection? ext.. details man, details!

Morning. Taking a break from the regular boards I play on I went on Scorpion's board yesterday:



Lag? I had none. Not sure what he is running on but there were atleast 20 players on when I was on.



Help? I had plenty as did others. Help in the way questions were being answered etc.



New items/quest? In progress is what I was told.



ONLY problem he may have is the lack of money (He gave me some which helped) for players to be able to train to ten after completing the first alignment qust. You can do the first alignment quest at level one via the portals (ring is still only wearable at ten, wasn't a problem for me).

Also, no portal FROM Annora to complete the quest. I made it to Jorah ( I ran with auto attack off) from there with 2hp's. :)



There is also a poll to complete when you first sign up, which I thought was nice. Giving the members a say regarding a reset once the edits are completed.



I feel the board is still in its test mode and much work is yet to be done.



All in all I liked the board, The sysop was VERY patient in explaining over and over the portals etc. as a new player came on. Other players were helpful in answering question that they had already experienced.



I feel if Scorpion keeps his positive attitude, the realm will be a very nice one to play in.

Well, that's not a problem. That's just a sign of a spoiled mudder. Why not do a few loops around Slums to get some cash like the rest of us? Cash doesn't need to be edited in, it's in the game as much as it always has been. If someone is lvl 10 and can't train to 11, they have been in the crypt too long.

thanks for the info furrene. im not bitching as i do not play here. i am simply trying to provoke scorpion into putting up a decent ad. from all the different things i have heard about this board, maybe he will be one to stick around for more than a month. trying to state, most boards go under due to lack of users. i know when i had my boards up, i would get a few from the start, and from there it would dwindle down to maybe 3-4. why waste my bandwidth when you only have 3 users? thats why i took them down. if you have a good ad that is kept up to date (like morbids) you are going to continue to draw in new faces.

I would usually agree about the money and earning it but on this board you can do the first alignment quest via portal at level one: Hence you get level 11 when completing the quest. To train 10 levels and no money is difficult. But that is a minor item, only mentioned it as more of an inconvience than anything. ;)

Well with the positive feed back from Furrene. I'll check out his board. We'll see, I'll post an update as well :)
