Simply remove all of your connections to IRC and quit downloading/uploading warez for a while. Bite the loss for a little bit, they'll forget after you resolve the situation. I wouldn't run an IRC server any more again though, unless you would like to lose your connection. That's pretty much the worst they will do.

i concur. just remove it and stop downloading from places where everyone can see what you're doing (ala IRC, Kazaa, etc). no biggie.

Anyway yeah get that shit off of IRC, If your gonna use IRC do it via private FTPs not normal posting so everyone can see it. What you wanna do is find a few good forums and plant your seed there, get to trust people and have them trust you. Most of the time that will get you into NICE private ftp sites. The only way these companies find you is because your using very public places to get ILLEGAL stuff. Kinda like buying crack in the middle of a parade. Your bound to be seen. Its alot harder to trace private ftp movement. Sure your local ISP can see it if they want to but usually your protected under consumer protection. They arent really going to start handing out all of your personal information to bigwigs because half if not more of the company does the same shit your doing. :D



When all is said and done Cox can suck thier own Cox.

why do people insist on saying "no pun intended" when the pun was infact intended. you said cox because of the cox network. you said it purposely. the pun was definately intended. saying "no pun intended" is for people who say something then realize after they said it that they made a pun.

i have a bunch of friends who get that bullshit.. basically jsut tell them u have a virus and u had no idea. its a valid reason considering all the xdcc bots and shit. playing stupid always works.
