you must not listen to rap.. they dont just rhyme. if it were that easy, id put out 150 songs in 30 mins. rap is more challenging in my mind because A) you need to spit to a beat. B) your rhymes have to make sense. C) there has to be a point to your rap (not always but all the good guys have an underlying message in the song) or there has to be a story.



in poetry you dont have to rhyme, you can just say some goofy shit like "herpees burn like the sun, ill never be able to walk again" and people see meaning in it.. well i see no meaning in 99% of the poetry i read, but 99% of the raps i hear\read, i can see the meaning right away. in poems i need someone to tell me the point because it just sounds like a buncha worthless shit to me.

Blunt - that's why I said there are many different types of poetry, some rhyme some don't. I don't really care for the non-rhyming sorta Haiku shit either, but I write poetry that does rhyme, does make sense, and isn't some everyday bullshit.

Sometimes Poetry is a bunch of useless crap. and other times it flows like the wind.



Shakespear was an idiot his shit was exactly that bullshit, everytime I have seen anything my him I fall asleep.



I have had some very fucked up poetry, I have had some published.



In a word of feeling pain, sometimes I feel that I am quiet insane.

Now I roll out into the sun and I get caught up with a bum.

I followed an old trail on down, and oh lord what have I found.

I have found what I thought might be gone, and become quite the opposit.

I have found almost a cult following. Now your wondering what the hell I am talking about.

Look around and you shall see but I am talking about will hit you with a thud. But god damn it I'm talkin about Majormud. Now do you see what I have become, nothing but a worthless mud bum.



So you have to be hit in the head to see, what a poem has instead, is a free flow that doesn't have to rhyme. A poem you see just has to flow free. Yes ok maybe your right every odd sentance may connect. But I assure you it is not going to be as quick and direct as a freestyle rap, But I must say Crazy sure can spew that crap.



My hat is off to all those that flow on that different groove, it isn't quite for me. So I'll just hang out here and maybe just maybe have a beer.

These feelings I thought that I could hide,

Some of my original work, though not complete. However I believe that a poem is never truly finished, only abandoned.



I began writing not too long ago, and am still working on my personal style. This one seems to flow decently, but it still feels like it's a bit broken. Anyway, just my piece.
