JPG and BMP are not ansi files. Ansi files are text, mainly european characters (alt-whatever), given color codes.

you won't gain any kind of respect around here using this kind of attitude towards people trying to help. he probably missed that small text in evanelias' post. people are allowed to make mistakes.

ideed, and don't expect it to stop. but not responding to it is what makes you the better person.

p.s. and you instigated the "smart ass" remark here, not him.

It's a six month old thread, I'm not going back to read it. Any time I've ever gone gif to ansi, shit ends up looking retarded, so I didn't think about that.

I give smart ass remarks to dumb ass posts. I didn't give you a smart ass remark on this thread, I simply answered your question as I saw it. When you get a smart ass remark from me, you'll know it.

hey, i'm having a similar problem, but its kinda different. Ok, i've some cool ansi from ACiD packs from like 92' and such, i found a few that i'd like to use, i'm familiar with wgsdraw somewhat, thedraw and aciddraw, problem is, it SEEMS to me, that all the text blocks are saved as .msg files and NOT .ans files. And when you open WgsDraw within the text editor it loads cnf00000.ans no matter what text block i'm editing. And when i try to import an ansi screen into thedraw i get an error "c:\wgserv\wgsdraw.exe -Access Violation. Attempt to read from:c236c2c2", so i cant import ansi INTO the wgsdraw. It seems a bit different than from the majorbbs 6.25 ansi editor i used to use way back when, but i was able to edit the screens outside of the bbs txt editor with ACiDdraw, then import them in when i was done to ad the WG codes. But i get that error when i try, and i'm not sure what to save that file as AFTER i'm down editing it with WGSDraw because i'm not sure what the .msg its currently editing...

lol, did ANY of that make sense? Can anyone go over the process of going into the text block editor, selecting a text block, goin into WGSdraw via that, then importing ANSI to use, or what file to save to or to look for when saving?..i've crashed the bbs twice trying to figure it out, but i have been copy/pasting the text blocks into notepad before so i was able to restore the original text into the text block to fix it. And nothing i've read has gone into much detail in explaining this.

Basicly, what i want to do, is have one of those LOOOOOOOOONG pictures of comic book chars load and have the BBS info at the bottom of it when someone connects to the bbs BEFORE it asks for UserID and Pass. And also have cool menu boarders like flames and such suround all my menu's and sub menu's. I just need to know how to implement that with WGSDraw and add the WG codes after its edited with ACiDDraw. I've no problem MAKING the art, the problem is merging it into WG 3.3. :wallbang:
