Basically so you dont accidentally say something stupid about the person in the room w/you with a mistyped br or bg or /telepath. Also if you mistype wont break sneak. I had it on because I had an auto-response set to say "You gain 1 experience." and didnt like waking up to a conv box full of it.

I got into the habit of setting to slow from being an op, I didn't want to mistype something and have people listening in on me ;)

Plus, it does help when talking about the person your partying with to someone else on global or teles ;)

I always used to have talk slow when I played mud... before the megamud days, these settings were extremely helpful for PVP, especially in sneaker-vs-sneaker. If you mistyped/misspelled something, it would break your sneak/hide unless you had set talk slow.



I also always had Set Interrupt On... anyone else ever use that setting for pvp back in the day? If you were in the middle of typing out some long gos/bg and someone attacked you, it would break your gos/bg typing immediately and let you know what was going on.
