(1) Wrongful use, possession, manufacture, or introduction of controlled substance.



(a) Amphetamine, cocaine, heroin, lysergic acid diethylamide, marijuana (except possession of less than 30 grams or use of marijuana), methamphetamine, opium, phencyclidine, secobarbital, and Schedule I, II, III controlled substances. Dishonorable discharge, forfeiture of all pay and allowances, and confinement 5 years.



(b) Marijuana (possession of less than 30 grams or use), phenobarbital, and Schedule IV and V controlled substances. Dishonorable discharge, forfeiture of all pay and allowances, and confinement for 2 years.







5 years imprisonment for heroin use...that's just jacked up!

Fuck that, they should be put in jail for more than 5 years for heroine, nobody should be fucking with it. *ESPECIALLY* people that are going to be defending our country. I was referring to the Army. The UCMJ is supposed to be universal, but in the Army, you get a simple pay cut, a few weeks extra duty, and down a rank depending on your offense.

That's not necessarily true. I know people in Fort Hood right now, and in fact just moved from Killeen last November. Several people I knew that had been caught smoking weed were given a pay cut, confined to base and spent a night in jail. Confinement to base lasted about a month while their paperwork was drawn out for dishonerable discharge (they had to go to work every day still) then they were sent packing. 0 tolerance for drugs. This doesnt say much.. i still know many who smoke weed and don't get caught. It's all a matter of how smart people are.

My ex-fiancee is currently stationed in Fort Hood. Her ex boyfriend is a heroine addict. He has pissed hot for heroine three times, and marijuana twice. He's never spent a second in confinement, or confined to the base. He's gotten pay cuts, and one rank drop, and 45 days extra duty per offense.. The same goes for dozens of the other people she knows currently in Fort Hood.

I applied for the Air Force and was turned down cuz I was honest when asked if I'd ever used drugs.. Well, semi-honest, as I admitted to smoking weed in the past. I've heard rumors of people getting away with shit, doing hard drugs like heroin and meth while actively stationed somewhere. And I'm sure alot of folks get away with it - it's just like a normal job, they never really check (or so I've heard) unless you get injured, then it's standard practice to do a drug test. But I really can't see how they'd let someone get away with doing drugs and being in the service as, like I said, they wouldn't let me in with past history of drug use.. :shrug:

When I enlisted in the Marine Corps, I was in MOS training with one guy who had 7 waivers for drug use. A year after we got in, that zero tolerance went into affect, and he woulda had no chance of getting in then...when I was in Ft Leonardwood for MOS training was when I first did pot, acid and shrooms ;)
