I'm pretty sure that Lava fields/dragons/she-drag/black fort/cog are in that version as well. I'm not positive, I just can't remember a time that they weren't in the game, and I played that version. I only played it for a couple weeks, so I could be mistaken.
Warhawk runs Treehouse, which has the version.

Re: the way it used to be
Nope, no dragons in any 1.0 version, as far as I know. Definitely no she-dragon; I remember when 1.1 came out, and Dan's MUD Page (the predecessor to Mudcentral) has the first-ever cap of it being killed. They all thought it was supposed to be a HE-dragon and were freaked out when it was a she :)
The max level in 1.0's was 20 anyway, would make dragons kinda too hard, especially considering the utter lack of good weapons (tanks had questors or a headcutter, yipee)
I don't think there was any lava fields, black fort, or really much of anything else far under the blackhouse... IIRC that was all added in 1.1, about two dozen boards got the 1.1 beta early but I *think* that beta was still numbered as 1.1, not a 1.0.

Re: the way it used to be
The first time I went to dragons was with a lvl 22 warrior, a lvl 18 paladin, and me, a lvl 13 priest. We handled it very well. Ya gotta remember that back then, this was pretty much all done by hand. Going places by hand is like a skill bonus, cause you can handle bigger areas. Either way, I didn't play 1.0 for very long. I had a lvl 4 rogue before we got an upgrade and I had to change classes (or I just got switched to ninja... I can't remember, twas a very long time ago). Dan's page was much much better than mudcentral.

Re: the way it used to be
mud 1.0's highest "boss" was Thrag. 1.1 introduced all the funky stuff like dragons, rocky trail, and much more stuff under the black house.
Re: the way it used to be
yeah there's not even a door for the black house...no blue tower, elder grove. It was kind of odd walking out in the forest and not seeing all the exits I was so used to...hmm
Re: the way it used to be
If you were playing the early blue tower version, you could get an elf thief and raise his charm up and buy/sell silvery chain leggings for mad cash.
