hrm, i tried reinstalling i and going right to k, but after i install k it still says i and nothing seems to have changed

hey reckless which wccs do i import back after i install k? all of them???? or are there certain ones that i dont wanna replace cause it will screw up the k change?

You don't keep any wcc's. You go into NMR and export everything you want to keep, ie, items, monster, rooms, etc. to a DB and then you go delete wcc's. If you aren't going to follow directions, why post? You CAN'T upgrade to K from I.





I will not post again if you don't follow these directions and I doubt anyone else will. READ AND FOLLOW.

oh i wasnt even using nightmare man... its not so easy to follow instructions when u dont always know what the people are even talking about



i thuoght u meant copy all my wcc.dat files to a seperate folder, then delete all the wccs files, run my k update, then paste all the wcc.dat files back into the game..



well this didnt work and now my majormud is gone from the menu tree....

Get NMR dude. You can't upgrade. CAN NOT upgrade from i to k....i don't know how much more I can stress this point.

ok now i cant even run my WG because of an access violation error or something... bah

i tried completely restarting my mud, i reinstalled the i patch then the j then the k... now i cant start my WG, i tried reinstalling the i over all that and trying again and i still cant start it....



when i try and run a database recovery it takes a second and then nothing is recovered....

You are getting no more help until you go get NMR, make a DB export and stop trying to upgrade mud. You shouldn't even be running a board, but I won't get into that now. You install K, not I or J. JUST 1.11k.

OK what you do is goto your worldgroup folder in the command prompt then type del*.*.. (no not really)

But after you get nightmare and do everything Reckless has said goto the command promt and then to the worldgroup folder and type wcc*.* and then RE-INSTALL K and APPLY THE CRACK. ONCE you have done that come back here for more instructions.



And if you need any help AIM ME! if you dont have AIM get Aim
