lol, that was definately NOT a flame, I was simply correcting the wrong information you gave him after I gave him the correct information. i could go off a lot harder on you if i wanted.



i told him what to do and then you said "no, you don't have to do that." you are admiting that I know what i'm talking about so then why say something in contradiction to what I just said. all that does is confuse the person more, it doesn't help them at all.

lol, I think he types fine. He sure does type a lot. I think the problem is that he needs to learn grammar, spelling, and english.

#1) i recant my mean statement towards elpresidente. i thought he was telling me i was wrong by replying to what i was saying with a total opposite solution. in fact though, his post went up a minute after mine did (probably seconds in reality) and it appears he was responding without even knowing what i was posting.

what i meant here was that you can do edits while your board is running, but copy your dats to a different directory and edit those. you just dont want to edit the dats that the board itself is currently using. when your done, compile an update and copy it from your editing directory to your WG directory. when the board starts up next, you'll have your edits.

Cool yeah everything seemed to work great. I have lots to input if given the chance again and will do just that. I'm learning with this new redux so it will take awhile. And I dont think ill push it as hard as i did the very very old nightmare, at leasnt not till i get use to it. Your reply(s) helped me fix my current problem, and perhaps next time if i would just read the help files, maybe i could find things out for myself....grin

that's why there's a section here, noone ever rtfm :D There are a number of knowledgeable people here, syntax, dxpac, Panterra, Plat, Atma, AA, Speed, Ray, etc. Best way to edit is slow, learn what you're doing and don't go overboard. Don't get ahead of yourself either, too many people do that and watch their board die.
