You'll learn. You usually need someone to teach you a few tricks to learn how to do it well, which is how I learned back in TW, but it's fairly simple. Read the FAQ, that really helps. It jogged my memory, I haven't played TW in years, since dialup. Start out using the trader techniques, those are the easiest ways to get quick cash starting out. It's pretty simple, grab goods, move one sector, sell goods/buy ore, go back to last sector, sell ore, buy goods... repeat until you get enough for a hull upgrade, go to a "Special" port, buy a hull upgrade, and keep going. Right now I've got hull lvl 12 or 13, and make about 450k credits every 4 turns. Tomorrow when I get my engines up to 15ish, I'll be able to get 450k every one or two turns, which is when I'll upgrade my hull/rest of my ship. Colonizing planets is also a good way to get cash/resources. You can buy colonists for 5 credits per person at any Special port. Buy max colonists, realspace back to your home planet, drop colonists, repeat. You should always use a genesis torpedo to make your planet somewhere deep in space. I looked around for about 75 turns for a dead-end which is the best place to make them, but I don't think this game has them since it is all linear. Let me know if you have any questions, I can help.

does money and ship upgrades increase your score? i'm trying to figure out what does it....

Hehe, I created an account.. accually 3 :( First time i did GAMI Hestity and forgot everything from @ and beyond in email addy, athen put an , instead of an m.. lol, 3rd times a charm.. but if anyone reading this has op powers over game, go ahead and delete those 2

fun ass game.. got blown up rather early, but i've made a comeback. currently 2nd in score ranking.
