I have a 1991 Mazda Pickup 2.2L 4cyl. 5spd., just enough goose juice to chirp the tires in second on a dry road, and whip the ass end around when its wet.

My truck is a work truck, I'm always hauling shit in to the dump. I dont have pics, but I'll take some when I get her washed. I have an eagle & a wolf etched into the rear window, and a native wolf on the passenger & drivers window. My CD player is a 7yr old Panasonic, it works and I mostly listen to the radio anyways. :lol:

lamazda pickups are great for smoking tires. try bleaching them. it'll make you feel like a redneck god.

no way man, don't wash your truck. Work trucks should never be clean. a bath to a work truck should be a stroll through a muddy field.lol. getter as dirty as you can, then take some pics. plus it makes it look cool.

I want her clean to take pictures of the windows. Hard to see the etchings thru the mud. Then I'll take pictures of her stuck upto the doors in mud when I take her down to the river to play....

he's still got it. It's not really a pos though. He's in the market for a new car soon. That car's been pretty good to him considering the hell it's been through.

Yeah, it is amazing it still runs. but man it looks like hell. (least from the pictures)..

I bought a 1992 Plymouth Grand Voyager LE today. $700cdn, guy said the transmission was on the way out, Chrysler said it would cost $3400 to fix. **laugh** it aint the transmission, its the control module. It'll take me about 25 mins to replace it, and cost about $100..

This thing is cherry, little Asian guy owned it since it was new, always had Chrysler service it on a regular basis. 150,000 klms, power everything (cruise control doesnt work, I think it is the switch.) New brakes, Bridgestone tires are 18 months old, never been smoked in (I dont smoke). 4 buckets & a bench.

I might keep it, or fix it and flip it. my last 4 I fixed and flipped and averaged $1500 profit.

You should keep the van. It sounds like a gem. I knew a couple people with those vans, theirs were a blast. I think that one probably has the 3.0L v-6.

Those things make a decent torque rating for a van. They really cool ones were the manual trans model. At one point, a buddy of mine gave one ( I think it was a 94 caravan) It never even ran for me(something with the fuel system) But we chilled in the back of it smoking bud all winter with a space heater. Those vans are nothin but handy if you ask me.

The tranny is shot, but my other "cheap van" $250 for another Plymouth Grand Voyager that had a blown fuel pump (took me 2 hrs to replace) blew its head gasket in Mnt. Vernon Wa a couple of months ago, has a rebuilt transmission (I have documents, it was rebuilt 6 months before I bought it). The transmission shop will charge me $300 to do a re-n-re.

300 bones is a good deal. Sounds like their only chargin you labor to do the swap. Sounds like you got yourself a pretty sweet deal. The 3.3L is a decent motor. Maybe you should keep the truck now.. Unless you could use the money..Who doesn't need the money though? What are gas prices like where you're at? I'm at $2.25 a gallon here. With my ram air, I'm getting Around 27-30 mpg city with my GM 3.1L. That's when I baby her. I've been pretty heavy on the pedal lately though, it seems like drivers around here are getting dumber and dumber on a daily basis. I have a problem with aggression behind the wheel.
