Hey now, leave the guy alone, alot of people are n00bs when it comes to how there PC works,i was at one time and you learn from questions, besides, how many of us really remember how to work in DOS anyway? Besides me that is.
For reference sake, DOS ROCKS!
Well need some help
Re: Well need some help
DOS was the only Microshaft (stolen/bought) OS that never crashed... hrm go figure... wasn't written my microsoft... and it doesn't crash...
Re: Well need some help
If you want to keep the window open then open a DOS window manually then move to the folder that has the program in it then type in the filename. When you double click a DOS executable in windows explorer or whatnot the window automatically closes when the program closes (and the program you are running closes after it spits out the code). And while people are on the subject of Microsoft OS's crashing or not command line DOS didn't crash mainly because it didn't have to deal with multiple program threads. Windows 95-ME are all built on updated versions of the same old DOS. Just the Windows 'front end' has multiple threads running, plus whatever else you load up, combine that with a underlying kernel that wasn't originally designed for such things and it's bound to cause problems.
