Well lets hope you would not lay it down. But if you are worried about that. I would buy myself a 200-300 junk bike and just get used to riding again for a month or so then go buy a bike that I really want. Remember, most people who buy a smaller bike end up trying to see it after one season to buy a bigger one.

Might think about buying a really cheap used one and riding it for a year, then getting one more suited to your style.

power is a relative term. either too much or to little. for alot of there is never enough. a friend has a 55 suzuki 550, put 11k miles on it in 4 months has no problem in traffic and the speed limit is now 80 here. He went from 750 yamaha (92 model) and enjoys the 550. i rode it. for transportation its fine. for touring no way.

I like power...but don't really care about top end, I mean its nice, but I am more of a torque guy.....I like to be able to get it from a dead stop.

I like the thought of gettn a beater to relearn to handel a bike.I worry comming to a stop at a curve it the road. Im slightly leaning into it...down shift....braking...and need

my foot out to hold up at stop. I believe other situations

could occurr too.

Trust me you are worring to much, if you have ridden before it will all come back to you no problem. But getting a beater would be a good idea.

Keep us up to date on what you decide to do/get!

Ok I believe the bike I,m getting will be a Honda CX500C.

It was 1 owner, with 9,000 miles on it. Good looking, runs like new,Inspectable as she sits in the garage.Sold do to health reasons. The bike has not been abused.

So what say...good or bad.

O,and kelly blue book list it at $885.00. I sAved $150.00.

Under a grand, 500cc, Just looked at the specs online, the would be a great starter bike. Your not paying alot for it, so no big deal if it does get laid down. But if you dont, and you prolly wont lay it down, then next year or whenever when your ready to upgrade to a bigger bike you can prolly get what you paid back out of it!

I would say good choice!
