As many of you know i have been working on a .dll update, Ive been testing this on my private editing server and it appears to be in good enough condition for testing on a larger scale. Tonight i will be taking down DeathRow to impliment the new patch.
I am also releasing the testing version of my patch if anyone else would like to try it on their server
This patch is an updated version of SouthernCross' 1.00x patch so everything that was included in there is in this patch.
Reverted to all the original ansi's (sorry SC but those ones were nasty looking)
Fixed a few combat bugs
Fixed some memory leaks created in 1.00x
Included filled in wccaddon.sys (no need to enter activation codes anymore)
Included filled out version of wccmmud.ini (set up to only allow sys maps right now, changeable by option E on majormud sysop menu)
http://www.fileden.com/files/2010/7/28/2927150//0.01S.rar
Simply extract the files and paste them over the originals in your WGSERV folder, i do recommend backing your board before hand due to the fact that this is a beta patch and not 100% fully tested yet
All Feedback welcome

Re: 0.01S Update Patch
NP, why it was made owner optional to put them in.
Improve away, I am back in full force, more editing now that coding and picking things apart. There is a lot on my plate.
Great Work BTW took a look at it.

Re: 0.01S Update Patch
they have been fixed on DeathRow since before we launched, i simply added that to show what i have updated to the 1.00x patch. I figure this post is going to intrigue more than just users of the DeathRow server so i should include generalized information.

So, your new version fixes something that was already fixed by someone else three years ago? Wasn't the surprise round fix already in 1.00x?
I didn't know that wanting more information than 'did some stuff to some things' is an ever so eager approach..

Re: 0.01S Update Patch
yeah just messin with ya, and no it wasnt included in southern's patch, thats why i added it. This patch was more about fixing the few memory leaks that ive noticed during my time using the 1.00x patch, it also gives people who aren't familiar with hex editing/setting up majormud a ready to go system. No need for a keygen or putting in codes to make things work.
Its all part of a new "package" that i am working on that will allow boards to be setup smoothly without any hassle. I personally spend alot of my time working on alot of different MajorMud related projects and i am deleting worldgroup and reinstalling it on a daily basis, this package will allow the users to simply copy and paste an entire prebuilt server on to their pc with all the performance options/etc already done.
