Re: Yall's Specs
hows vista run on those machines? I was looking for others' vista scores.
Re: Yall's Specs
I don't game anymore, so my vid card is bleh, just looked fun to post specs. Using a 32 inch Viewsonic monitor, and I don'tr bother to OC anymore, not worth running my water cooler for that.
Re: Yall's Specs
Well, I've been upgrading my computer piece by piece, and while I don't have any nifty programs to give ya specs, I'll just list them instead, starting with what I've added:
eVGA GeForce 9800gtx+ (newest model, with the 55nm chips)
Antec Basiq Plus 550W Modular PSU
22" Asus widescreen monitor connected by DVI, s-video to TV
3gig DDR2 ram (Just added 2-1gig dimms today, removed 2-256meg that came w/system)
dual-layer dvd burner
Rest is all stock:
Whatever case/MB that makes up a dell dimension 4700 series
P4 3ghz w/hyperthreading (I think it's officially the bottleneck of my system now)
70gig sata HDD (Amazing really that I'm still rocking it, considering I've easily downloaded over a TB of data since getting the system years ago. Needless to say, I have LOTS of things burned to disc!)
CD burner
Onboard sound
Onboard Nic
Think that's about it. Probably be a few months, if not longer, before I do anything else. I think I'm required by law to get a larger drive first, but I'd really like to get a case/mb/dual-core chip. Not too worried about sound, as I've never been an audiophile, and I use cheap-o speakers when I'm not using my headset on Vent.
In conclusion, compared to where I was a year ago, I'm extremely happy with how the system runs! It's nice maxing settings rather than minimizing them, to be sure!
