I think this would be possible to do, but we're going to need two or three nazi's to moderate it all. It's going to be more than tedious at first, because it's going to be a lot of outlining what needs to be done, and breaking down the info we already have, which deathcow started to post (I didn't even know all that shit was in the dats, so many edited boards use shadowmere, I just assumed the rooms were there and that was it.)

Of course, there's the issue of copyright, of which I have no idea if there's any "danger", perceived or otherwise, involved in doing a project like this.

Last thing to consider, people will likely lose interest, and I include myself in that group, but I think it's something worth trying. Worse case scenario, most/all of the frontend grunt work is done, and organized if others which to carry on the project.

We all loose interest in shit.. (except maybe DC) but if you write everything down and keep it organized you'll eventually gain interest in it again and continue your work ie. My website

Oh you noob! You mean you haven't spent hours perusing the textblocks? Psh.

I think it would be fun to work on if others want to do it. And its not nearly as daunting of a task as building everything from scratch so it might actually entertain some people. There is just no way in the world I could have another set of MMUD dats on my comp. So a third party editting system sounds ideal to me.

You should require logins, for one. Else you'll see that the spam bots hit anonymous wikis pretty hard.

oh and also, enable the mod_rewrite so it's

instead of

http://wiki.mudinfo.net/index.php?title=Main_Page

if you don't mind
