I wouldnt sell my Jeep even if I had too. I depend on it to get me to work when there is a mess of snow on the ground since I am oncall 24/7. I would sell it if Jeep came out with a hybrid engine for something other then gasoline.

30 bucks worth of gas still gives me 3/4 of a tank so its still acceptable. Used to get a full tank on 30 bucks but not recently. I get decent gas mileage plus I enjoy having the top and doors off when its sunny out.

I/We have cut back on going out to eat, spending money on things we dont need, going out to the movies when we can rent the dvd in a month anyway. This has saved us alot of money and so we can pay for higher energy costs. We still go out to eat but weve cut it down to about once a month.

I drive my 1994 Geo Metro, that I have owned since new in 94. It has 300,000+ miles on it and still gets around 45 mpg! I have never done any big maintance to it...still runs like a champ. It may not be the coolest car on the street....but I still can pull into the pumps and put 20.00 in my car and fill it up, then drive for two weeks!

I love my little junker!

I dont really worry too much about gas. I live about 5 mins away from my work and our two cars get pretty good gas mileage

00 Jeep Grand v6 2wd

05 Mercedes C320 2door

my jeep gets better gas mileage than a hybrid silverado. but if jeep actually did make a hybrid, i would definatly buy it.

Yeah, something needs to be done.

... almost 100 years ago. And while the Model T boasted 25 MPG in 1908, average car mileage for 2004 according to the EPA was only 20.8 MPG!

My shitty little kia is still pumpin out about 30mpg. I was considering selling it recently and getting something new, but I'm just gonna hang on to it until we see what's going on with this gas bullshit. Buying a 3.8 litre bronco would be a bad decision right now.

We are going to look this weekend and may be dumping the van for a smaller car.

I doubt anyone else here lives in Michigan, but you other people may appreciate this link, and could possibly find one for your own state.

I have a 91 Chevy Sprint 4dr auto (I hate auto) it's near death, 270,000 klm (about 500,000 miles) my main seal leaks, I blow a cloud of blue at startup (rings), I leak brake fluid (unsure), I'm running majorly rich (throttle body is FUBAR), plus a whole host of other problems, and I still get about 40mpg, $50(cdn) to fill the tank, and drive it for 10 to 14 days. Gas in BC is about $6.00 p/gallon ($1.20 p/liter)
