How about you start a project that everyone can use. Like, cracking the monster regen problem with the dll. Or the map limitation. Something like that. Not to say what you are doing isn't of use, but those would be much more of-use.

You try and rip the source code from shannon's hand and I will fix all those shitty issues with majormud... as for right now... that will have to do....

Also... since I am doing this... exporting all this data to a NEW database and RE-WRITING the the server to be a standalone... would be sweet... and do-able... just LOTS of time!!

I've had a project like that in the works for years. I got it about 80% complete during mod7 but my hd died and I didn't have a backup, so I never got back into it really. I was porting it to a stable version of LTTM (an internet mud, derivitave of Envy). I don't have the skills to make it stand-alone, but I had everything but the areas/monsters/items/spells working, even my own hack of text blocks. The only reason I didn't have those is because I wasn't about to do each individually, and didn't have the resources to export the databases. I now have the databases, but no time to re-do my code. That shit took a good 10 months.

That's why I haven't checked it out. I don't feel like making an account.
