Ok, I've attempted this only once in the past 5 years, and I didn't get too far into it, because, I just didn't know what the fuk I was doing.



I have two computers: Artist, Tabi. Artist is connected to the cable modem. Tabi is plugged into Artist, with a 20 port hub in between. Artist is setup to allow internet sharing, so anyone who comes over can just plug into the network and get to the net without any configuring...but that's not where I'm going.



I want to be able to remote access either computer from the other, as well as from my machine at the office, which I don't have admin access on. At the bare min. I want to remote each other..I'm just tired of gettin up off the couch when working on Tabi to goto Artist. heh.



I tried that windoze proggy, PCAnyWhere, last time I tried this...but finding helpful documentation was more difficult than finding the warez..

Could anyone suggest programs that I could use, as well as how to use them ;)

Go to www.softseek.com (http://www.softseek.com) and search for Radmin, its called Remote Administrator. I've used it for years and like it very much.

You might want to try TightVNC (http://www.tightvnc.com/) on both machines. Since you can use it on the client end through just a browser, you don't need to worry about having to install anything on your work PC. :wordup:

What OS?



You can use terminal services if you have Server.. or any of the above options..



You can also share your folders if all you need to do is access files. It's the least resource intensive... You can also setup ssh servers on both machines.



Many options - just depends on what you want to do.
