The Five Pillars new round!

Post by olabri »

The Five Pillars is a brand new multiplayer online game set in a fresh and innovative fantasy/sci-fi setting, in which you compete to dominate this strange, post-apocalyptic world, together with hundreds of other players.

You take on the role of a country leader and, with the land set at your disposal, you set out to grow a large and powerful nation, by means of war and the more subtle ways of magic. However you should realise a war can't be won alone, and thus you can seek aid in the guilds that are around, and aid them in return.

As the ruler of a great nation you have many options to rise to victory at your disposal, like assembling great armies from your populace, or calling for them by way of either of the 5 magical energies which are at your disposal. You can build your country into greatness peacefully, or warring for neighbouring player's land continuosly and with no remorse. You can even have your guild build the most fabulous wonders of all times. Be the cruel warlord that has no life off of the battlefield or the subtle mage, pondering away in his room, casting vile enchantments at his enemies, or be the sly manipulating diplomatic scoundrel and make other people fight your fights.

Whatever you choose, the options are far and wide, for you always keep growing... and you might just take that other door the next time around, when the world has come to an end and you get to make that ever so important choice again.

The popups was a mistake as i was tesing a new banner provider.

But what puzzles me is you are negative to a link asking for donation. That is entirely vounteer and should offend noone.

But it seems this forum (or part of it) have decided to be negative in any case, so i guess my explaination will help much.

I didn't like that it prompted for donations before letting me play...it should have a donations prompt somewhere on a sidebar where it's still visible, but somewhat outta the way. The popups were just annoying, I had 4-5 popup windows within the first 2-3 clicks.

And BlackHaze pointed out the Gator install..I forgot about that one too...I hate Gator.

God damn, I just clicked on the link to the site. Four pop up windows, and two close link popups? Screw that.

I didn't get any popups! I have a popup blocker though :D hehe Everyone should invest in one of those to avoid the annoying crap. If people want to make money off their site, do something other than advertising via popups/banners. They make me stop going to sites. Also Gator is horrible and will cause me to not go to a site. Why don't they give you an option on that window to never allow content from this provider like they give you to always trust.
