I'm thinking no matter what you try to rob your victim "of", it's all just done randomly. not sure though, but check this:

You see, i'm trying to steal a chrom key, but i got a headcutter and rope....weird. I also did this like 40 times and i was villian, so i'm not sure that it gives you as many evil points as attacking nuetral people...

It gives you ten percent (I believe) of the EPs you'd get attacking. I've stolen items by name several times, dunno what the prob is. Maybe you can't steal keys?
