it was a night in october. in burlington, vt. i was subbing for a buddy as his cab driver. maybe help him make some extra cash cuz his wife pregrant about to have thier baby. He wants to to be near her side .. in case. im driving down fifth ave, looking for people with the thumb up. with the yellow light on top you're really not hard to miss, even as much as you'd like to. it was jazz friday this month here in vermont. almost like an ozfest, for the old. alot of lsd striken giezures stroking on the full 9. i picked up a man in a suit and tie, looked a little out of his setting. he got in the back and said, to the nearest spot. I looked at him and said



where to mister? he was a little pised, said.. i dont give a fuck cabbie, drive!

i drove him to the nearest liquor store, he said.. i wanna go to essex.. i said, the fair is $50 an hour sir.. he didnt give a fuck.



so i hit the interstate.. but he wanted to smoke.. i told him not in the back.. i kindly let him in the front.



i so fondly wanted a cigarette.



then the drive.



we made small talk, family, religion, BULLSHIT. we're getting close he looks at me and says, what if pulled out a knife and stabbed you in the throat, wrecked the car, ran off with your money and raped your daughters, what would you do?



i was a little scared, but nonetheless.. i dont know, why? we got to his house and said, seriously, what if i stabbed you in the heart and ate your liver while buttfucking your dead corpse? .. i almost grabbed for the nine.. he handed me a $50 for the fair and another $100 for my time. that day, i got fucked with..
