Windows XP Error [Archive] - ForumsHQ

Post by iNViSiGOD »

I only get this error if im running Megamud and WG on the same PC. I setup the test stand for TiTANiUM Edition MajorMUD and all is well until i run megamud, within minutes i get the following error:

DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

and it does a memory dump. Any clues anybody?

Hmmm not a clue on that one. I'd try to duplicate it but I'd imagine you are running more than one mud on a single machine right?

On the test stand im running Worldgroup 3.12 (patch to 3.13) MajorMUD 1.11i (single MUD) and at the time was running 2 instances of Megamud and a telnet session to the test bbs. Now mind you all this is running on an AMD XP2000+ with 512megs of PC2700 RAM so its not lack of resources.

Well you are running 3 poorly coded products at 1 time.... ;)

wg, mmud, megamud

Have you *cough* reinstalled? *cough*

Might be an xp issue though, because I can run all that fine under windows 2000

Hmmm well I'm running 3.20, and a different version of MUD... but I'll try loading up a couple of megamuds on the server machine later or something just to see if I get an error. Normally I don't bother running anything else on that machine since I have a few others sitting around anyhow.

ok.. what video card do you have? I have had the same problem but finally got rid of it.. due to a conflict with the original d3d****.dll that interacts with the video driver bad with my geforce 4. it's a reconized problem. Let me know. im me or mail me if ya want. :)
