Nightmare was created by Donut, it was made in VisualBasic (a language anyone can learn in a week) it's object oriented meaning you add buttons and such and program how they act on certain events.
Syntax is basically a maintainer, he keeps the code working for the current releases of MajorMUD.
In that conversation that syntax pasted, nowhere did I ever say anything about turning anyone in, i simply stated facts, whether they were true or not hold no relevance, they basically used those statements to get the implied underlying feelings out there, and use them against me. Pretty much pointless, why even waste all this time on me? You guys already said i represent everything you can possibly say negative...
The only problem I have with syntax is he has some problems, he got upset with me because I treated him like everyone else, what does he expect? I'm not going to treat him like God for maintaining something created by one of my best friends. He then proceeded to say he would never speak to me again (i'm not exagerrating the situation at all really), but I think anyone who can say that has some real social problems. (sure flame me here..)
I respected syntax for his reasonings though about protecting himself, death by association, he always wanted to keep his name away from the not-so good light in Metro's eyes activities, anonymous things.
I think we all need to evolve, I personally see MajorMUD dying more so then ever. Metropolis has stated to me that they no longer can afford to pursue illegal pirated bbs's. They also told me I caused them a great deal of trouble, not so much with the piracy, but ljnedit, President of mutliservice spent 20grand on hiring 2 coders to redesign the databases so ljnedit would no longer work in newer releases, they also removed `SYS *' from the public release completely. The person who allowed the beta board to be vulnerable was fired, and shannon/issac lost several days of work due to reorgnization.
After I recieved my cease and desist order, I had to open my eyes, things were bad, I didn't realize the impact of what I had done. But as addiction goes... It's hard to stay away from actually playing the game..
I'm sorry for all the problems I've created on both sides, Metropolis, and this community, I feel ashamed for everything I've done, but I'm glad to have learned a great deal about computers in a way that will help me excel in college when I depart next year.
(I realize that many people still having lingering hard feelings towards me, and I understand fully, but you need to forget about me, don't waste your time on negative feelings, just ignore me if you don't want to try and atleast be neutral or indifferent to me... just for your sake don't waste the time, or the thoughts that you can never get back on negativity towards me...)
I don't have an elitism complex or God/arrogant feel about myself... I feel ashamed...
