Hi folks,
I just released the source to my other doorgame, Tournament Trivia, via GPL3:
http://github.com/eelias/tournament-trivia
The closest WorldGroup game it resembles is Farwest Trivia. Hopefully some folks on here played that one back in the day.
If you just want to run it w/o caring about ...

Re: The best way to kill any boss
Yep, resurrection/charm items and spells = one of the best boss-killing strategies in the game. Whenever I used to play through the game myself (gotta check game balance!), I'd use these extensively. Best bet is to find those 3-mob rooms in higher-level areas, and time its usage right after a round ...

Re: Doormud discussion
Characters who are inactive for a certain amount of time (a few weeks? can't recall) will have their limited items reindexed automatically.
For limiteds in shops or on the ground, IIRC there's a small daily chance that they will get reindexed as well.

Yeah, 0.99 was the last release. There's still a few sites who keep archives of many BBS door zips; easiest bet is just googling the file name you want. (I don't want to link to a particular site and jack up their bandwidth.) Here's the file names you want to google:

Re: Doormud discussion
I've given this a lot of thought, and reconsidered my earlier post. This summer marks 10 years since the first release of DoorMUD, and 13 years since I first started the project as the single-user bbs game "Land of the Forgotten"... it's about time to make an announcement like this I guess.

Ray, man, I wish you had tried to contact me before posting that. That is absolutely not my MySpace. (and I'm really somewhat appalled that anyone would look at that and think it's really my MySpace... or that I would even still be using MySpace at all, ugh.)
In reality, that's the MySpace of a ...

Did Not!
Are you kidding me? Again, re-read the thread! Out of nowhere, you said the following things to me in one of your posts:
- "I'm sorry to say but you are demonstrating a very basic knowledge of programming here"
- "ffs, you have no clue at all"
- "What the FUCK? How do you come to ...

I most certainly did not; re-read the thread!

I tried to be civilised and you come up with this crap.
If your definition of "being civilized" is constant flames, profanity, and personal attacks -- then sure, you're really civilized pal!

Re: Cross-Platform Languages [Archive] - ForumsHQ
I agree with your points, Evan. I thought you were going to go down the "Java is slow" road, which is no longer true so much. Now it can be slow or it can be fast, depending on implementation (like any language)
True, Java has definitely made huge improvements in speed, I'll give it that ...
